Right now there are a bunch of super duper cool things happening at Unashamedly Creative and around the place in general.

So let’s skip the cheery intro and get stuck in, shall we?

Sydney AND Brisbane Freelance Jungle!

For all the little freelancers, soloists and single person startup operators we have our regular Freelance Jungle meetup in Sydney. There’s another one happening on February 27th so you should totally come along. RSVP now.

The exciting news is we’re now starting up in Brisbane! The very spunky Shauna from Take My Word Copy will be hosting the first event in March. Unfortunately Meetup is a little inflexible and restrictive in some respects so I can’t set up a specific Brisbane group. So please join the main Freelance Jungle meetup group and we will label the Brisbane meetups so you can spot them, at least until we get past the testing stage.

Facebook is dead. But I can help.

Brook McCarthy and I are teaming up again to run a fairly controversial workshop entitled “Facebook is dead. Long Live Social Media.” With Facebook making no secret of their plans to further monetise business and personal usage of Facebook over the coming year, the aim is to give you the opportunity to explore other more effective and less costly social media channels.   Whether you’re questioning Facebook or if social media works at all, we welcome you to join us. Unlike most workshops, this is tailored to your needs. I’ve setup a Meetup group called “Business Bootstrappers” so I can promote gatherings, workshops and that sort of thing. I’d love to open that up to other people. I’ll send you a little template and we’ll get your stuff promoted.
